About TempMailPortal
TempMailPortal is a free, receive-only disposable inbox for permitted low-stakes messages and software testing. It requires no signup, keeps mail separate from your primary inbox and clears stored messages automatically.
Why we built it
Many websites ask for an email before providing an optional newsletter, public resource or product update. Reusing a primary address everywhere expands the impact of marketing lists and data breaches. TempMailPortal provides a short-lived, low-risk inbox for situations where the site permits it and no lasting account relationship is needed.
Who runs TempMailPortal
TempMailPortal is an independent project built and maintained by Avinash Verma, an independent developer — not a data broker. The same operator maintains the browser tool, receiving Worker and editorial guides. A representative version of the Worker is published on GitHub; production may contain newer security, abuse-prevention and operational changes. Questions, corrections or abuse reports reach the operator through our contact page.
Author and editorial standards
Guides are written and maintained by Avinash Verma. Technical claims are checked against the running service, official provider documentation and linked primary sources where available. We use visible publication or update dates, distinguish tested behavior from general advice, and correct material errors when reported. Content is written to support privacy, anti-spam education, legitimate software testing and safe use — not bulk sign-ups, promotion abuse or evasion of another service's rules.
Our editorial policy explains how we select topics, verify product-specific claims, disclose limitations, make corrections and keep advertising separate from inbox content.
What TempMailPortal does
- Generates an address instantly the moment you open the site — nothing to fill in.
- Checks for new mail automatically, showing messages after they reach the receiving system and the next inbox poll runs.
- Lets you copy, refresh, change or delete your address whenever you want.
- Auto-expires stored messages, with the current retention period set to about 24 hours.
It is intentionally receive-only: TempMailPortal cannot send email. This reduces its abuse surface and keeps the service focused on low-risk incoming messages and legitimate software testing.
How it works
When a message is sent to your temporary address, our mail infrastructure receives it, parses it and stores it just long enough to display it to you. A background cleanup process then deletes expired messages. You can read more about exactly what data is involved in our Privacy Policy. Want to try it? Head back to the homepage and your inbox is already waiting.
A note on safety
Disposable email is built for convenience, not secrecy. A temporary inbox has no password, so treat it as public. Use it only for low-risk messages where temporary addresses are permitted, and never for banking, work, healthcare, government or any account that matters. For the full picture, see our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
Free to use
The browser inbox is free to use. The inbox and message reader are kept advertising-free. Eligible editorial guides may support the service through advertising after applicable consent and publisher requirements are satisfied.
